EZBio® Ultra Capsule Filters

Foxx Life Sciences EZBio® Ultra Capsule Filters are pre-assembled, enclosed filtration devices engineered to prevent microorganisms and particles from entering sterile fluids in critical bioprocessing environments. Designed with a compact footprint, they are ideal for seamless integration into OEM equipment while delivering reliable and repeatable filtration performance.

These capsule filters are available with high-grade, double-layered membranes in either Polyether sulfone (PES) or Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) to meet a wide range of application needs. PES membranes offer low protein binding with bacterial retention ratings of 0.2 µm and 0.45 µm, while PTFE membranes provide absolute particle and microorganism retention at 0.2 µm, optimized flow rates, and extremely low extractables—making them well suited for demanding sterilization and high-purity fluid applications.

EZBio® Ultra Capsule Filters are available in lengths ranging from 2” to 40”, providing high surface area for consistent filtrate quality and process efficiency. PES membranes are validated for bacterial retention using Brevundimonas diminuta at a test concentration of 10⁷ CFU/cm², while PTFE membranes are engineered to maintain a constant bacterial barrier for effective sterilization.

With a variety of inlet and outlet configurations, including hose barbs, female NPT, and sanitary connections, these capsule filters support broad use across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and industrial processes. Rated for operating pressures up to 5.5 bar (80 psi), EZBio® Ultra Capsule Filters deliver a dependable, economical solution for critical filtration tasks where performance and reliability matter most.
